Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
LLS is relentless in pursuit of its mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Shortly after Alex got diagnosed I joined Moms in Training and it provided a great support system. Now I was not alone in the fight against cancer, I had an army of moms behind me. Rooting for us. It is because of the work done by LLS that Alex had a great prognosis from the start. It is the research they have done that have made our journey to beating cancer possible. They have given us a reason to smile - because of their help, Alex is now a cancer survivor! Thank you LLS! Lucy |

LLS & Friends of CONANCA
From the stages of inception to reality for Friends of CONANCA, Lucy worked with Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help fundraise and we believe that their research is essential to what we are trying to do in Nicaragua. A large percentage of the patients at CONANCA are diagnosed with blood related cancerd and the treatment that can save their lives is in many cases due to the work done by LLS so we want to support their work by donating 5% of our fundraising to LLS.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds research across the continuum, from basic research through clinical trials, from bench to bedside. To date, they have invested more than $1 billion in research to advance therapies and save lives. LLS research grants have funded many of today's most promising advances, including targeted therapies and immunotherapies and some of the therapies first approved for blood cancer patients are now helping patients with other types of cancers and other serious diseases. Thanks to research and access to better treatments, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled and even quadrupled since 1960.*
