Arts in Medicine Program

In 2015 we renovated an abandoned spaced and turned it into an art room. Art creates hope.  Children being treated had very little to do while they waited for treatment and with our Arts in Medicine that changed.  We created an art center so that they can draw and paint and create little pieces of "healing magic" while they are at the hospital.   The art center, on average, serves about forty children a day.

Infrastructure &
​Medical Equipment

In 2016, we gut renovated two intensive care rooms and bathrooms.

​We refurbished 11 treatment chairs and purchased a new bio-safety chamber for the pediatric oncology wing which costs $25,000.  


​Sponsor Medical Staff

When the hospital is short of funds and considering having to let go of critical staff, Friends of CONANCA has provided grants to cover medical salaries.


​Life Saving Medicines

W​e have awarded $200,000 in grants towards towards the purchase of chemotherapy and radiation.  We fund 20% of the annual budget for life-saving treatment.
